word count: 2.7k
language: Syulang- flower, Kalweyaveng- son of a bitch, Oel ngati kameie- i see you
description: Tsireya, a girl you have loved before you even knew what the word meant. A girl that made you feel ugly emotions you did not know were possible. The girl you would connect to by a small little seashells.
The first time you saw Tsireya you did not know why you were so drawn to her. A little voice screaming in your head to be her friend. She seemed like an angel in your small eyes, the most beautiful girl you had ever seen, and you just couldn’t tear your gaze away. Completely tuning out your breathing instructor it was as if she had put you in a magical trance. “Y/n stop gawking at Tsireya and please pay attention. This lesson is very important!” Snapping her finger in front of your dazed face your teacher wore a stern expression. Obviously unamused with your new found interest in the small girl. A series of giggles echoed through the small group of children at her public scolding. Embarrassed, you casted your eyes to the floor a dark purple hue rising to your face. You did not miss the way Tsireya giggled with the rest, her voice seeming to stand out to your ears, only deepening your flustered state. It was the first time in your whole 5 years of life you felt truly flustered, a feeling you would get use to as you spent more time around Tsireya.
Thankfully, your teacher was quick to shush the children’s giggles saving you from farther humiliation. “There is no reason to laugh, now let’s wrap up this lesson.” Voice soft yet commanding all the children listened to the older na’vi. Big eyes all zoned in on her as she pressed her hands to her stomach explaining how to breathe from your belly. While you could not help but steal a few glances at the girl across the circle from you. Her big blue eyes seeming to hold the stars as she payed all her attention to her instructor. The class seemed to end too soon as your teacher dismissed you all. The girl you now knew as Tsireya rising to her feet. You did not expect her small body to walk over to you, eyes widening in shock. “Im Tsireya. You kept looking at me does that mean you wanna be my friend?”
“O-of course!” Tone radiating happiness you quickly rose to your feet. The girl was obviously a bit younger than you as you straightened yourself out standing a few inches over her. “I’m y/n” Smiling Tsireya giggled at your excitement seeing your emotions so obviously on display. “Wanna collect seashells with me?” Small hand outstretched you invited her to take yours. Excitedly nodding her head Tsireya placed her hands in yours. A joy like no other filling your body as you guided her to your favorite spot. Allowing the waves to lap over you feet as the two of you search the sand for a hidden gem. Creating a memory you would never forget. The moment that bonded you and Tsireya together.
Now in your late teenage years the two of you still shared the same habit. Tsireya had just finished her training of the day running to your form as you waited for her on the beach. “Y/n!” Ears perking up at the familiar voice you turned your head. As expected Tsireya wore a bright smile as she prance towards you . “I finished this last night wanted you to have it.” Voice soft the girl attempted to catch her breath, words coming out in a jumble. “You have always been a master weaver.” Accepting her gift you slid on her small bracelet. Seashells the two of you had found carefully placed in between the strands of fabric. Tsireyas big eyes watching your every move waiting for your reaction, comfortable placing herself next to you. Holding her gift up to the sun the seashells seemed to sparkle, a soft smile gracing your lips. Butterflies invading your stomach as you brain could not help but imagine this as a courting gift. “Is it to your liking?” Gaze shifting to the girl who still rested a few inches below you a warm feeling filled your stomach as you met her glimmering eyes.
“Of course syulang, I love it.” Shying away from your gaze her small hand came to her lips. A futile attempt to cover her smile. “Now come we must add to your collection.” Boldly taking her hands in your you guided her to the shore of the ocean just as you did many times. Tsireya, allowing you to drag her along as butterflies erupted in her stomach. Eventually Tsireya ventured on her own picking up the seashell she deemed the prettiest. A soft smile covering your face as you ‘looked’ with her, while in reality you spent most of the your time looking at her. “Ah! Look at this one!” Voice shrill Tsireyas voice seemed to raise a couple octaves as she rushed towards you. Smiling from ear to ear she presented a seashell morphed and smoothed into a heart shape by the ocean waves. “Look how it shines!” Giggling she help it up to the sun and it did in fact shine with the sun rays. A beautiful color that almost mirrored the shade of her baby blue eyes. “It’s a wonderful color, might just be my favorite shade of blue.”
“Really?” Cocking her head to the side Tsireys seemed to examine the seashell more. “I will make you more jewelry in this shade!” Proudly announcing her will it was as if a tiny light bulb had gone off in her head. “When I think about it I have not known your updated favorite color for a while now. What shade do you like syulang?” Turning to face you Tsireya lifted her head slightly. Her brows scrunched together as she thought, a habit she had kept ever since her toddler days. Suddenly bringing her hand to your face her thumb traced just below your eyes. Shocked, your pupils dilated slightly as the place she touched began to burn. Although, she had touched you thousands of times before it still sent fire racing through your skin. A fear rising in you that she would hear your heart thumping against your chest as you met her puppy dog eyes. “I think it might be your eyes, Eywa blessed you with a beautiful color.” Parting your lips you attempted to say something but to no avail. It was as if she had knocked the words out of you as you felt the temperature in your face begin to rise.
Seeming to notice this a smile made its way onto Tsireyas lips. Her touched slowly sliding down your face to your neck as she admired the markings adoring your body. “I will see you tomorrow? I must be getting back now. I have an important dinner to attend.” You did not miss the way her face slightly dropped at the mention of the dinner. You felt a pity for her knowing the stories of how incredible boring they were. “Of course, same spot as always.” Patting her head you ushered her off, not wanting the young girl to get in trouble because of you. Watching her form prance away you could not help but relish the heat of her lingering touch. Smacking your cheek you attempted to rid yourself of your emotions. “She is the cheifs daughter it will never work.” Muttering words you had said a million times. Words that had suppressed your growing emotions for years.
Sitting on the beach you gazed at the ocean. Finding peace in how the sand welcomed your form and the waves lapped against the shore. It was a beautiful day for taking a simple stroll on the beach. The sun was radiant yet not too hot resting calmly against your turquoise skin. A sigh breached your lips as you doodled in the sand an impatience growing within you every passing secant. You had secured a stone you deemed close enough to your eye color hoping to gift it to Tsireya. You had spent most of your morning crafting it into a similar heat shape as the one she found the other day. Using your weaving skills make it the center of a new top you had been crafting for the girl. Position the stone just right so it would rest upon her heart, a place you yearned to be.
Hours seemed to pass as you began to doze off head dipping from exhaustion. Your body seeming to flinch back awake every other minute. Finally having enough of waiting you rose to your feet a slight fear entering you. Tsireya had never stood you up. The girl Always telling you if she could not make it or at least stopping by for a few minutes before reporting back to her duties. Hopping to your feet your legs carried you in a hurry back to the village. Eyes scanning every na’vi passing you in hope one would be her. Almost near the end of your search a familiar giggle filled your ears. Body whipping around you felt you muscles visibly relax when you eyes set on her. Tsireya’s usual smile decoration her face.
“Reya-“ Cutting yourself off mid sentence you bit your tongue as another na’vi entered your view. You felt your stomach twist with a disgusting jealousy as you watched her interact with the male you knew as Ateo. Knowing by the look of desire swirling in his eyes that this was no platonic interaction. Eyes shifting back to the smaller female an anger seemed to mix in with your ugly emotions. Body moving as if you were possessed. “Oh! Y/n!” Noticing your presence Tsireya turned herself towards you. Noticing your mood a confused expression covered her face not sure why you seemed so upset. “Is there something wro-“
“You ditched me for this Kalweyaveng!” Voice dipping with venom you glared at the na’vi to her left. Fury dancing in your eyes. “Who do you think you’re talking too?” Eyes narrowing Ateos glare rested apon you. His tail whipping in aggression. “Wait, wait let’s all calm down.” Attempting to mediate the situation Tsireyas voice fell to death ears as Ateo took aggressive steps towards you. The male had always been arrogant and short tempered. Ateo stood slightly taller than you and seemed to be trying to use that as intimidation. You wanted to scoff at his pathetic attempt to make you cower. Bearing your teeth to Ateo you proved he did nothing to you. “You mad I stole your bitch?” Taunting words left the males lips and it made you want to rip his juggler out then and there. “Have some respect before I make you.” Hands shoving his chest you pushed the na’vi back slightly. Waiting for his short fuse to break.
“I said calm down!” Tone sharp and loud Tsireays voice drew the both of your eyes away from the other. An instant regret crashing over you as you saw her glossy eyes glaring at you both. “You are acting like children get a grip! And to call me by such a name Ateo?” Body shaking in anger the offense was evident in her voice. Body frozen you waited for the next words to leave her mouth but they never did. Seeming to stop herself from speaking Tsireya turned the other way her overwhelming emotions evident in her body language. “Dickhead.” Muttering the insult you quickly followed after Tsireya unraveling her top from your small bag. You did not worry about knowing the destination. Already knowing where Tsireya was headed. Knowing the female since childhood came with its perks.
Dragging your feet in the sand you purposely took a little longer to get to the spot on the beach. Wanting to leave time for Tsireya to calm down. Eventually, her form came into view as you quietly approached her, placing your body in the sand. Although she did not meet your gaze you knew she was aware of your presence as her ears twitching with each movement you made. “Hey syulang” Voice soft you allowed your hand to rest on her back, your finger trailing small circles on her skin. You felt her inhale deeply before meeting your gaze. “I am sorry.” Voice soft a pout rested upon Tsireyas face. “I did not mean to stand you up. It’s just my parents announced him as a potential mate and insisted I spent some time with him. I could not find the time to tell you.” Hearing her explanation it was like a knife to the heart. Shame washing over you in waves as you cursed your jealously fueled actions. Heart banging with regret and sadness at the mention of her mating.
“I am not mad. My reaction was very….. over the top. I am sorry.” Giggling slightly Tsireya seemed to recall the recent memory. “You looked like you were about to rip his head off! But, you did save me from having a horribly disrespectful and hot headed mate so I can not be mad.” Smiling slightly you felt relief wash over you as Tsireya seemed to accept your apology. Her normal cheerful mood returning. “I could never stay mad at you y/n. But why did you get so angry? Were you jealous?” Voice having a teasing tone to his Tsireya skillfully pried. Not wanting to let her true emotions out before she knew yours. Cheeks tenting at her suggestion you could not hold her gaze. Eyes casted out at the ocean. “I need to practice keeping my emotions in check.” Sighing at your answer a frown crossed Tsireyas face. She was tired of your indirect answers, she simply wanted to know what was going on in your head. “What is wrong syulang?”
“Nothing, I just need to find more suitors. I am of mating age after all.” Covering up her feelings she lied. Watching closely as you seemed to cringe at her words ears downturned. “I can make better things than any other suitor could.” Handing her the top you made Tsireyas eyes seems to sparkle. A shy smile making its way onto her face as her hands ran over the fabric. Tuning to dig into her pouch a confused look covered your face as you watched her rummage. Taking out a necklace with the seashell that matched hers but sewn into a dangly piece of jewelry. “We can match now!” Handing you the necklace with the seashell resembling her eyes you could not help the hue casting over your cheeks. “Tsireya we can not, only mates or family match.” Attempting to move the necklace back into their hands she resisted a stubbornly.
“Do you not wish to?” Eyes hurt she flashed her puppy dog look. The frown she wore minutes ago now placed upon her face again. Not being able to resist her beautiful eyes you placed the necklace on with a sigh. Thoughts spiraling in your head as Tsireya eyes lit up at the action. Turning her body around she began to undo her top. Air catching in your throat your eyes watched the fabric fall. Her slim back on full display. Her bare skin soon covered by the top you crafted, as she skillfully tied it around her neck. “Now we are matching!” Voice cheerful Tsireya launched herself onto you. Her body resting comfortable on your legs as she hugged you close. Heart beating rapidly against your chest you placed your arms around her. The warmth of her body seeming to burn as you temperature rose. “Tsireya-“
“I am not 5 y/n I know what the clan will think if they see us.” Leaning back Tsireya met your gaze. Her arms still around your neck and body comfortable seated on yours. There was no doubt your cheeks were every shade of purple as your eyes widened. Trying to wrap the meaning of her words around you brain. “Then I will court you.” Statement clear you looked into her ocean eyes. Searching for a reaction that was soon to come. A joyful screech left Tsireyas lips as she brung her body back to yours. Pressing herself impossibility close as your heart leaped in joy.
“Oel ngati kameie y/n”
“Oel ngati kameie, tsireya.”
Words of affection whispered you did not let Tsireya leave your hold. Eclipse settling in as the two of you cuddled in the sand. Your head on Tsireyas chest as the two of you looked up into the sky. Your matching seashell glowing with your bioluminescence freckles as they connected. The two hearts seeming to have once been one of the same shell. Reunited by two painfully oblivious na’vi finally making a move.
a/n: I hope you like my first Tsireya fic! I can not get enough of the Metkayina siblings. 🤭

AVATAR : WAY OF WATER with a Human ! S/O who has psoriasis
Characters included : Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, Ao'nung, Tsireya
Pronouns used : They / Them
Note(s) : Psoriasis is a non contagious skin condition caused by stress, hormonal changes and immune disorders. It can also be caused by genetics as it runs in family. You get flaky patches on the skin that are painful and dry.
Neteyam
He's worried for your health, it was bad enough you were human but now he refuses to take you anywhere remotely dangerous. He worries if they look too red or flaky, bringing you to Mo'at with no questions or confirmation on if its actually sore or not. Sometimes it can get annoying, and to be honest it's not the best way to react, but Neteyam's doing it because he knows how stubborn people can be and doesn't want you dimishing your pain, regardless on if you've ever done it or not.
Has a schedule for you and your ointments, he won't let you skip one or two even if they're looking really good one day, Netyam is very strict when it comes to your health. If they get bad again because you've been a bit careless while he's been away you're in for a lecture.
If the areas where it's bad ever split he's literally doing everything for you no exceptions, and while he doesn't want to come off as overbearing, Neteyam knows how incredibly dangerous infections are, he can't risk further injuries coming from the scabs.
Whenever it's all flaky and crusty he admits he cringes a bit, but still doesn't mind bringing you to a lake or getting something to wipe the excess off. He's very gentle and slow, trying his best to prevent making it worse.
When you get to the Metkayina any bullying or harrasment is met with aggression, he won't go out of his way to fight, and even tries to deescalate the situation if it goes too far, but he will defend you.
He has a bit more trouble bringing you to Ronal, and ends up very stiff and awkward during the interactions of your health, less so if you talk to her directly. Because of this, Neteyam usually gets Kiri to help him gather herbs he can use to help you, and because some Na'vi are judgemental of humans and it'd be easier to avoid stares or confrontation going to Ronal.
If you itch, bite, pick, whichever, he tries to help by placing something with a layer of cream or some kind of ointment over the parts that you tend to aggravate, it's his way of being not only affectionate, but helpful in preventing an infection. Neteyam isn't judgemental as I imagine most of his younger siblings done it from time to time, he probably done it as well at some point.
Given that when it splits water and just touching in general is incredibly painful, he tends to convince you with how bad it could get in the future, reminding you what could happen if you don't try to prevent it. When rubbing them onto your skin he reminds you that you can ask him to stop at any time if he notices you flinching or closing your eyes in pain.
Lo'ak
He's mainly concerned, not overbearing, it's mainly small anxieties and asking questions that can be a little too invasive. They can get annoying sometimes even if he means well.
Wonders if because his family share DNA with humans that he could catch it, until you shut him down with the 'It isn't contagious.' which then gets him embarrassed on the fact he assumed in the first place. Ask him about it a while after, his face and even up to his ears and shoulders will go purple with a blush.
If you get made fun of, either by Na'vi or other humans, he'll defend you, as sad as the attempt is to watch, and relate to your experiences as he feels he can never truly fit with either. Even if the experiences you two have are wildly different in the simplest of terms.
Picking it usually ends in him being a little disgusted at the puss and blood that comes from it, but he wipes it away and washes the bacteria nonetheless, offering you comfort for the painful splitting. He can come off like he's disgusted at you, which he genuinely isn't, it's moreso the fact its gotten so bad and you could have an infection that ends in excruciating pain. He doesn't want you to go through that.
Lo'ak tries preventing picking and biting by telling you stories of how he nearly had to remove an arm one time because he scratched at an injury, this usually leads to you feeling anxiety or annoyed, maybe you're comforted by this and try to stop, either way he's trying to warn you of the dangers it can cause.
He takes a longer time than the rest to bring you to healers, unless you don't need convincing and go yourself, this isn't for a lack of caring, he just feels like making you go too often could make you feel babied.
Tends to ignore advice by healers, nothing major, but he brings you on exploration and hunts even after Mo'at or Ronal directly tell him not to.
He brings you to Mo'at very awkwardly, she tends to assume it's him in need of help for doing something dangerous, but whenever it's you she's sighing and asking why you didn't come sooner. Scolding him as he looks down and huffs.
Lo'ak makes sure to tell you he sees you for you, and he doesn't care that you have Psoriasis, it's apart of you, both figuratively and literally. He couldn't imagine you without it and doesn't make you feel bad for having it.
Kiri
Kiri feels really bad for you if you get bullied for it, she tries to relate to you given she gets made fun of for her being a 'freak', although her attempts come off slightly pushy, it comes from a place of love and wanting to understand you.
Her strong connection with Eywa allows her to help you, she's able to find the materials needed in order to soothe your pain without fully understanding where everything is.
She's been training to be a healer for as long as she could think, and is more capable than most in this list beside Tsireya, so she knows what to do on the physical spectrum of helping you. Emotionally, she's also really good! When you're feeling really down Kiri asks you questions, and if you prefer to listen, she's also amazing at speaking about things she's interested in.
When you pick and bite she tries telling you it won't help at all, explaining the dangers in detail, this can either distract you from it or convince you to try and be more aware of your actions, although you obviously won't always be able to stop if you don't realise. But if you react negatively for whatever reason she tries to be near you more often, gently removing your hands from the parts that you're going to pick or bite almost on instinct.
She will bring you to Mo'at or Ronal when she doesn't know how to help, listening intently so she doesn't have to. It's not that she hates the outside or anything, but in the Metkayinas she prefers to stay away from others from fear of bullying, both for you and her.
Ao'nung
Ao'nung made fun of you because of your 'strange skin', along with the Sully's for being 'demons'. After the whole Lo'ak incident he stops being extreme about his remarks but will still tease and mention it sometimes. However, if you genuinely have a problem with it and ask one of the Sully's, given the only way you'd be allowed with the Metkyina's is with the Sully's, to have him stop then he probably will.
I imagine he'd probably believe humans just looked like that, I don't think he's ever actually been 1 on 1 with a human before or up close. That's probably until he meets Spider, and you have to explain what Psoriasis is.
If it gets really painful he has no idea what to do, he then proceeds to be the embodiment of crying for his mother when he has an issue. He sounds fairly unbothered and even annoyed at you, but Ronal knows how he is, and she is side eyeing you both.
Will stand there and constantly ask questions while Ronal checks you over, she kicks him out after a while and remarks how childish he's being.
Given they usually only get painful if dry, though sometimes they're just annoying, Ronal suggested swimming more often, and so you joined in on the lessons the Sully's got. The lessons would most likely be longer with you because you tend to slow them down, at least you don't need to worry about breathing with the oxygen mask.
He'll try bringing you hunting every once and a while, mainly to help exercise you and help you be more useful so you can be more healthy. If you struggle and can't exercise more often, Ao'nung doesn't know what to do that could assist you beside help with ointments.
If you pick and scratch he gets kinda angry, it doesn't mean he'll yell or harm you, he just doesn't want you to be in pain. Ao'nung will hold your hands or cover the parts you can reach when he's around, but when he's gone it's easy to fall back into that habit. After a while of scolding you and telling you to stop doesn't work, he begs Tsireya for help.
Tsireya
She constantly asks her mother for help whenever it gets too painful or dry, Ronal tells her she can't help besides ointments on the skin regularly and Tsireya is dissapointed every time, wanting to help ease your pain.
Even though Ronal disapproves of you, being fearful of a betrayal given human nature, she will still be willing to help for her daughters sake and to remain in good spirits with the Sully family.
Tsireya tries ways to improve your mental health once you explain that things like stress can cause it, she takes you swimming in shallow water to try relax you and clean out any dirt that could be in the patches. She's gentle when guiding you and never presses hard against areas where it appears for you, sometimes she forgets how tall she is though and leads you too deep.
She's never judged or been rude to you, and when her brother or other people are she isn't kind with them. Heck, when she had first met you she had simply believed all humans had it.
Tsireya was really accepting when you told her what it was, she even held your hand and gently brushed a hand over some sore parts to prove she wasn't disgusted. Sometimes kissing them when it wasn't all crusty and all split.
Whenever or if ever you feel insecure, Tsireya to the rescue! She will separate the lessons with the Sully's and with you if you feel ashamed, only when you feel better about yourself will she bring you back. Building confidence is key and forcing you to the deep end, literally, will only shatter your self image.
Constantly reminds you to put the ointments over your skin and frets over you, loving to show you how much she adores you and doesn't mind your skin condition at all. Applying them herself if you forget.
She is still Ronal's daughter, and will be strict when it comes to medical issues, especially when they split given how painful it is and how it can become infected easier.
Again on the splitting or if you pick, she's hesitant to bring you back into the water, it hurts when wounds go into water and she's nervous you'll be in more pain. However, she does understand it can clean wounds and it's either this or wait until its healed to swim. Which she's fine if you prefer the second one.
If you pick and scratch she's probably the best one to have, she asks Ronal to bring her bandages so she can wrap them up after washing the dirt out and put ointments on, she helps change them and makes sure the bandages are thick so you can't scratch through them. Tsireya won't repremand you too much or get angry, she understands it can't be helped sometimes and besides some light scolds she treats you gently.

Description: The golden child is reduced to a nervous mess all because of a fierce hunter from the Metkayina clan.
Pairing: Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan x GN!Reader
Warnings/Tags: fluff, talks of courting/mating, maybe timeline inaccuracy? impulsively written at 3am and unedited so apologies for any mistakes
Word Count: 1.6k
Author’s Note: spreading the loona agenda with this title so don’t forget to stream OEC’s new comeback and also a reminder not to stream any music owned by blockberry <333
The waves crash against the shore, pushing and pulling. The sand digs into your thighs and hands. The light of the sun dwindles as the eclipse blankets Awa’atlu in darkness, the glow of the sea finally threatening to come out at dusk.
You’ve been alone for a while. An hour, maybe. But a familiar shadow looms behind you.
“Are you just going to stand there?” You ask him.
Lo’ak clears his throat, clearly surprised at having been caught. It’s not even that you’d seen his shadow—you felt his presence from his breath alone.
“Um—no. Sorry.” He tentatively steps beside you, lowering himself to sit criss-cross.
“Do you have a reason why you were just standing behind me?”
You can tell he’s a little scared. Of what, you don’t know. These few months you’d welcomed them into your home, assisted your friend Tsireya in helping the Sully family get settled. You have been nothing but kind, albeit reserved. So maybe Lo’ak reads the confusion on your face when he’s suddenly nervous.
“I just wanted to ask you something,” Lo’ak states with a layer of reluctance he’s trying to mask.
You stay silent.
“Are you…being courted by anyone?”
You resist the urge to snap your head in his direction, instead opting to turn your head slowly.
“Does Tsireya know you’re asking me this?“
You’re not a fool—you’ve seen them sneak off together at dawn a few times this month.
“Yeah. I mean…no. But I’m not asking for me,” he stumbles out his response, a little shocked that you’d noticed his ‘thing’ with Tsireya.
“Whom are you asking for?”
“Um…” He hesitates, “My brother.”
Ah. Neteyam. You’re not strangers. You helped him with his ilu, you remember his eagerness vividly. And how secretly proud he was after Lo’ak said he bonded with a tulkun, despite his teasing. You look out into the sea again, formulating a response.
“If your brother wishes to court me, he can ask me himself.”
You stand up, dusting sand off your body, leaving Lo’ak with a grimace and a thought that he might have just blown his brothers chances.
-
Upon arriving at Awa’atlu, Neteyam’s eyes had been drawn to you the second you emerged from your people, standing out as a graceful presence rather than a cautious stranger. He recalls how you watched his family ask for sanctuary with only a careful gaze rather than with any semblance of disgust like the others did.
His infatuation with you only grew tenfold when you were assigned to help the Tsireya and Ao’nung with getting the family to learn the ways of Metkayina. At first, he thought you were the eldest child of Tonowari and Ronal by how they treated you with such respect, but he was proven wrong when the leader said your families are just close.
You helped him focus on his breathing, tapping him lightly when he would get distracted with teasing Lo’ak about Tsireya.
He thinks the infatuation turned into something else—something more—when he really saw you in your element.
It turns out, you come from a long line of fierce hunters. Tsireya said that you’re one of the youngest to have completed Iknimaya a few years ago, and your grandfather taught Tonowari how to hunt. Neteyam’s heart deflated at the thought that you were likely already being courted, if not mated.
A few months into learning, you offered to take Neteyam hunting beyond the reef. Seeing as he was mastering his skills quickly, you’d been granted a pass from the leaders to show the oldest Sully what happens beyond the reef, partly to show him the dangers, a warning not to go out there unless he is with an experienced hunter, as you are.
He watched from his ilu as you navigated the complicated terrain that was the sea, weaving your body through corals and seaweeds.
Though you didn’t stay for long, you brought back a decent amount for the clan.
Needless to say, he couldn’t get enough of you after that.
He begins to observe you even more, since the training load had been lightened, he would allow himself to focus on how you carry yourself around your people.
He knows you’re reserved around the Sully family. A day after their arrival, you barely said two sentences to Neytiri, letting the basket of gathered fruits speak for itself as a welcome gift rather than using your words.
However, the way you act around your own people is different. It’s not surprising to him that you’re popular, often kids huddle around you during the start of celebrations to hear about hunting stories you’d inherited from your family. He notices men and women your age make conversation, and older clan members hold respect for you. Hell, even Ao‘nung backed off with a nod when you warned him about his teasing.
But what really got him was seeing how you opened up to his family.
During the fifth month, your parents, along with many others, had gone on a long hunting trip for the upcoming cold season.
He wonders why you stayed back, as Rotxo offhandedly mentioned that you typically went on these trips. Neteyam doesn’t care, though, because that means he gets to see more of you.
With your parents away, you find more time to get to know the Sully’s past teaching them about Metkayina life.
He finds you playing with Tuk, even introducing her to other kids in the clan, and his chest swells with pride as he watches his little sister feel more at home. Later, he spots you talking to Kiri, and she looks genuinely engrossed in the conversation.
There is nothing more he’d like than to begin courting you. But the problem is that he doesn’t even know if you’re available. What if you’re already mated?
He ends up regretting voicing these thoughts to Lo’ak in a small rant—because the day after the conversation, Lo’ak comes running to him, apologetic, saying that he might have made you mad.
“Why would they be mad?” Neteyam asks.
“Because!” Lo’ak shrugs, and the older brother has that face saying spit it out. So he does. “I told them that you were interested.”
Neteyam’s eyes widen, and for a moment Lo’ak is scared that he’s about to get a light smack in the head, but it seems Neteyam is too concerned with running to your marui, so he’s safe. (For now.)
Neteyam slows down a few feet from your home, catching his breath. The flap is open, and he can hear a fire crackling inside. It’s almost dinner.
He hesitates, stepping closer to the entryway of your marui. You’re chopping vegetables, and you don’t realize he is there. He hovers. You’re too focused to hear him.
But he’s wrong.
“You know,” You begin, and Neteyam is taken aback. “It is customary to announce your presence upon entering someone’s home.”
He clears his throat a bit too loud for it to be real. You both know it’s fake. Yet you don’t look up to him with any hints of dissatisfaction on your face—no, it’s the opposite. There’s a smirk lingering on your pretty lips. (Get it together, Neteyam! You need to apologize, he thinks to himself.)
“Does the sneaking run in the family?” You tease, talking with the knife in your hands and gesturing to him. “It is the second time that’s happened.”
“I—I’m sorry,” he bows his head slightly, ears pinned against his skull in embarrassment. If any of his siblings were here to see, he just knows the jokes would be unbearable.
You manage to reduce him to a bumbling mess. Well, as much a mess as the golden child could be.
“Why are you sorry?” You ask, and at first he thinks you’re doing it to test him, but when he looks into your eyes and finds only curiosity, he answers.
“For sneaking up on you. And for Lo’ak bothering you about my interest.”
“Wait—“ You hold back a laugh, putting down the knife and clambering up to stand close to him. His breath hitches. “I was only teasing you. And Lo’ak was not a bother to me.” You shake your head, confused.
“He…he thinks he might have made you angry.” Neteyam is a little quiet, but his eye contact does not yield. Neither does yours.
“I wasn’t angry. I just wanted you to ask me about courting matter, not your brother.”
“He asked without my permission, please understand.” As the words register in his brain, his jaw slackens. “You—you want me to ask you?”
“Is that not how your people do it?”
“It is, it is. But I thought…you might have already been promised. To someone.” He searches your eyes for something, anything.
“I am flattered you think that, Teyam. But I’m not.”
His tail swishes in excitement at the nickname. No matter how embarrassing you may think it to be, he just can’t help the way his body reacts to you.
(You think it’s cute.)
“So?” You continue at his silence.
“I would like that. To court you, I mean.”
The smirk on your lips morphs into a genuine smile and he mirrors your expression, the two of you gazing into each other’s eyes like nothing else mattered.
A small pop of the fire snaps you out of the trance, and he glances at the empty marui. Right. You’d been alone for a while.
The question is stumbling out of his mouth before he can realize its implications:
“Would you like to eat with my family?”
But surprisingly, you don’t falter, “I was hoping you’d ask.”

age gap
a/n: hmmmmm...i need more ronal in my life @inlovewithpandora @neteyamsoare
pairing: ronal x gn!metkayina!reader
warnings: nsfw (MDNI), pussyeating, slight dom/sub dynamic, milf ronal bc i said so
you stare at Ronal across the beach, turning your head away quickly when she lifts her head up and turns her head in your direction
she was beautiful, gorgeous, amazing, much older than you, mated to Tonowari and a mother to Ao’nung and Tsireya
you had seen firsthand how she and Tonowari doted on their children, making sure that Ao’nung made it to his lessons on time and that little Tsireya, no higher than your hip, made it to her playdates
and then, you saw how they looked at each other, speaking with no more than a glance, and yet they moved in perfect synchronization
not to mention, you were ages younger than them, your parents had been friends with them when they were kids, and you had only just entered adulthood a few months ago
you stood no chance with the tsahik or with the olo’eyktan of the Metkayina, but that didn’t mean you couldn’t admire her from a distance
drawing your net back, you throw it out into the sea and let it sink to the floor before pulling it back up to see if you’ve caught any fish
luckily enough, you find a few and pluck out the rocks and fish that were inedible and throw them back into the sea before turning around to put the remaining fish into your basket
you nearly fall backwards when you see Ronal standing there, only a little taller than you, and she’s holding a shallow basket full of herbs for her medicine
quickly, you greet her and bow your head, and she squints her eyes at you and asks what you were doing staring at her
her words send a chill down your spine, and you pin your ears back, tail twitching in nervousness, as you let out a strained laugh
no excuse comes to mind, and you flounder like a fish out of the water as you try and find an excuse, growing warmer and warmer as she stands there staring at you
with no reason, you turn around and dive into the water, swimming away from her, and you swim until you reach the other side of the island to your hiding place
it’s just a small cove away from the rest of the tribe, but it was quiet and it was yours
you lift yourself up onto the mossy surface and groan, burying your face in your hands at what you had just done
you just swam away, from the tsahik, your crush, after she had asked you a question and you had failed to answer
this was the most embarrassing moment in your life, but unfortunately, you can’t hide away forever in this cove
you’d have to go back eventually to bring the fish over to the cooks and then help cook before having dinner with your family
for now though, you could take a few moments in the chilled cave to avoid her and then make up an excuse in case she does try and confront you
the sun has started to set when you arrive back at the island, and your basket full of fish is still where you had left it thankfully enough
taking a whiff of the fish, it seems like they haven’t gone bad quite yet, and you pick up the basket into your arms and hurry back to the campfires
you hand over your catch to the cooks and take your basket back to your marui pod, greeting your family quickly before heading back to the fires to help roast the fish
you turn them on the spit, making sure none of them burnt or were undercooked, and you sprinkle spices about the food and cut and clean and gut
the time flies by quick enough and soon enough, it’s time to eat, and you help yourself to a nice serving and walk back to the place your family usually sits
as you take a bite from the fish, you nearly fall over over your own feet when you see Ronal talking to your family, and then you want to run away when your sa’nok points to you and the tsahik turns around
Ronal bows her head to your sa’nok and walks to you, blinking at you and telling you to walk with her, and you cast a nervous glance to your family before hurriedly following after the tsahik
she walks at a slow pace into the forest, never speaking a word, and you don’t dare to speak first, keeping your gaze facing downward and focusing on the sand that turns to grass and dirt
soon, the both of you reach a tree, and she asks you to climb up the branches and grab a fruit for her, handing you a small woven bag to store the fruits
you nod and climb up the tree, picking the fruit from the highest branches and softly placing them into your bag before heading back down
Ronal has sat down on a nearby rock, watching as you climb down and hand her the bag, and she gestures for you to sit down next to her while pulling out one of the fruits
she peels it, revealing its sweet flesh and hands it to you, and you take it, slightly sniffing it first, inhaling in the scent of something sweet
you bite into it, letting the juices run down your fingers and your chin, and you hum at the taste, looking back up at Ronal who watches with a serious face, eyes focused on you entirely
nervously taking another bite of the fruit, you finish off the rest of it and lick the juices off your fingers, and Ronal finally talks, asking if you knew why she brought you here
you look off to the side and and spit out the excuse you had made up earlier on why you had to leave so suddenly, and Ronal sighs and says she didn’t bring you out here for that reason
feeling a nervous tendril grip onto your stomach, you stay silent and wait for her to explain, and she leans forward towards you, tilting your chin up to properly look into her eyes
her eyes scan your face, and she pulls back and says that she and Tonowari know that you like her and him
you sputter and try to stand up, short circuiting when she grabs onto the back of your neck to make you sit back down, and she hisses at you to listen
Ronal hums as you listen to her order, and she lets go of your neck and says that she and Tonowari have also had an eye on you: hardworking, intelligent, loyal, obedient
you warm at the final word, feeling a heat pool in the bottom of your gut, and you squeeze your thighs together and continue to listen to her
she tilts your chin up and says that if you would like, she and Tonowari would like to have you as their own, but unfortunately, Tonowari had too many duties to tend to tonight so it was just her
your mouth hangs open as you stare at her, and she quirks her brow up as she awaits your answer
finally, you nod your head, and she tells you to use your words, making you answer in a wobbly voice that you want to be a part of their family
she smiles at you, leaning in closer until she finally presses her lips to yours, and you whimper at the contact, putting a hand on her shoulder instinctively
Ronal smiles against your lips as she kisses you, and you try to copy her movements, eyelashes fluttering close as you lose yourself in her touch
her hand come up to grab onto your waist, and you jump at the feeling as her hands slightly squeeze at the flesh
you lean back further and further until you're laying flat on your back, and she moves one of her arms to rest her forearm on the rock to keep kissing you
finally, Ronal pulls away to look at you, and you’re too dazed to think, mind still spinning from the fact that Ronal and Tonowari liked you enough to be apart of their family
you’re jolted from your thoughts when she slips her thumb past your parted lips, and you instinctively place your tongue flat on the pad of the finger and suck gently
she purrs at you, saying that you were already so good, and you whine at her words, one hand coming up to hold onto her wrist as you suck on her thumb
you stay in this position for quite a while, but you don’t mind, letting a sort of haze fill your head as she watches you with a careful eye
pulling her thumb from your mouth, a string of spit connecting your lips to her thumb, she hums at the sight and settles back on her perch, spreading her legs wide and telling you to show her what you could do
there’s no hesitation as you get up off the rock and fall to your knees onto the soft grassy ground, nuzzling at the inside of her thigh with your cheek
you bring your fingers up to undo the knots of her tewng, and you lick your lips at the sight of her glistening folds before looking back up at her
your voice is quiet and meek as you say that you’ve never done this before, and Ronal laughs and says that she knows and that she’ll guide you
she adds a comment on flippantly that Tonowari will be able to show you personally how he does it, and you nod dumbly at her
nervousness curdles in your stomach as you lean in a bit closer, still anxious about the whole situation and your skills
you’re young and inexperienced, never having been too adventurous like your friends and going off to have a quick rendezvous with each other
of course, you’ve touched yourself, but this was a different person, someone older and clearly much more experienced than you
you look up at her with wide eyes, and she tells you to go one, she’ll help lead you through the experience
her hand nestles itself into your curly hair, and she brings your face closer to her and tells you to pleasure her and to see what she’s working with
you nod and brings your mouth closer, wrapping your lips around her clit and slowly sucking on it, and she sighs at the feeling, pulling your head closer into her
taking it as a good sign, you suckle on her clit, using your tongue to occasionally move it back and forth, and she lets out a breathy moan, telling you to keep doing that
you oblige happily, using your tongue to flick her clit back and forth, and you moan into her as you bring your own fingers down to pleasure yourself
grinding on your own fingers, you nearly lose focus on the task before you when Ronal tugs at your hair and tells you to focus, and you whine and nod, going back to her
your tongue presses flat against the sensitive nub, lapping at it desperately, and she groans at the feeling, encouraging you to keep going
you pant into her pussy as you close your eyes and let her guide your head and grind her hips into her face
her moans are sweet and low, almost raspy as she pulls your head further and further into her pussy
it’s making your head spin with pleasure as you listen to her moans and her praise at how well you’re doing, and you whine as she moans loudly, cumming on your face
her cum drips down your chin, and you move your mouth down to taste her and bury yourself in further
it’s sweet, delicious, tastes just like her, and you lap at her juices, needy for more when she pulls your head away from her pussy
whining that you want more, she smiles at you and tells you to look back, and you slowly turn around and find Tonowari standing there
he says in a low voice that he found someone to take care of the kids for the night and that he was here now to take care of the both of you
dropping to his knees, Ronal lifts you into her arms in a show of strength you didn’t know she had and spreads your thighs over her own, and you realize that tonight through the haze in your head that you would be here at least until the moon rose high into the sky

HANDMADE FEELINGS ;; AO'NUNG
summary ;; tsireya's birthday will be soon and finally ao'nung has reasons to approach the best craftsman in the clan.
pairing ;; ao'nung x gn!metkayina!reader
warnings ;; none ;; short??
word count ;; 0.3k
word of the day ;; ngop [ŋ·op̚] vtr. create
Despite the sound of the waves, the people laughing, and the wind gently hitting the palm trees outside your marui, you seemed completely focused on what your job was. So concentrated that you didn't notice the presence of Ao'nung at the threshold of the place, the son of the Olo'eyktan, patiently waiting for you to notice him.
While you continued cutting the fabrics after having positioned your hands on each one to measure them quickly, with your tail you took advantage of drying the ones that were supported with some rocks on the floor, while you walked around your work table. All this under the attentive gaze of the boy who keep looking at you calmly, a look that according to what everyone knew about him, seemed to be unusual.
“I know you’re there,” you murmured, charcoal on your fingertips. You turned softly, looking at him with a small smile. "You need something?" Your question clearly threw him off, clearing his throat and stepping closer to you.
“I've never seen how you do your work,” he evaded your question, leaning against the table but not before checking to make sure he didn't collide with anything. You gave him a confused look, but just continued smiling.
“I don't do my jobs outside. The sand always ends up being part of it involuntarily,” you admitted, remembering some of the few works that were left with sand on the fresh painting. You had had to wash them quite a bit and your hands ended up feeling scratchy. “But I don't think you're coming to check if I'm alive.”
Ao'nung looked at the clothes that were hanging on the threads that ran through the marui.
“'Reya's birthday is coming soon and…” you interrupted him without leaving aside the sketch you had already made. A Tulkun.
“And you would like something special, right?” He looked at you carefully and nodded. From the movement of his tail you noticed that he seemed a little excited, however, you didn't tell him anything about it.
“I already got the materials. I just need to know if you can do it.”
“There's nothing I can't do, Ao'nung,” you smiled at him confidently and he imitated the gesture, feeling the tips of his ears turn red.
His tail didn't stop moving no matter how much he tried to stop it.
a/n;; man, i couldn't stand not writing down all the ideas i had, my invasive thoughts forced me to this, i swear. english is not my first language, so if you find mistakes i apologize in advance, but i try to correct it as best i can. i send y'all a kiss 💋

~~~~~~~~~
From the moment you met Lo'ak, Awa'atlu was doomed.
It wasn't every day two troublemakers found each other, but when you and Lo'ak established your shared love for mischief, it was silently agreed upon that you were going to become partners in crime.
After realizing he had made a new friend among the Metkayina, Lo'ak initially thought about how he couldn't wait to tell Spider about you with the childlike hope that he would see his human friend again. You were fun and overly curious, wanting to know everything about Omatikaya culture to compare the differences with your own clan's. Lo'ak easily opened up and got more comfortable in his new home because of you, always asking him about the world he came from. He thrived in Metkayina culture, thanks to Tsireya's teachings and your enthusiasm to show him all your favorite places among the reef. Lo'ak had progressed and learned faster than even Neteyam, but not that his father realized this. Instead, Jake worried about the amount of trouble Lo'ak was getting himself into and not his son's progress in becoming Metkayina.
But you could See Lo'ak, especially after he had bonded with Payakan. You saw how far the forest boy had come living among your people and you felt so proud and honored to be someone he trusted, dare I say someone he loved. Sure, it was a young, innocent love, but love, nevertheless. The two of you knew something was there, underneath the surface, after becoming friends so quickly after the Sully family moved to Awa'atlu. What was first misinterpreted as platonic love was quickly realized to be something more than that.
Spider made sure to tease the Hell outta Lo'ak once he realized this as well. He had joined the Sully family on the reef after being rescued from the Sky People, and after hearing so many stories, you instantly befriended the human teen as well, much to everyone's dismay. They already had to deal with you and Lo'ak as a dynamic duo, they couldn't bear a third. Luckily, you and Lo'ak were so busy showing Spider around the island that you barely had time to cause trouble, though there were nights when the three of you had been gone from home for far too long, and that alone got you in trouble.
In return for showing him so much from your world, Lo'ak decides one of these late nights to show you a part of his. Asking Spider to cover for him, the Na'vi boy takes you into the jungle, alone, and leads you to his ikran to make introductions. At first, you were hesitant to approach this creature but under Lo'ak's presence, you felt safe, and eventually, you were comfortable enough for Lo'ak to take you flying with him. Without warning, he had his hands planted firmly on your waist and lifted you up onto the banshee's saddle, his strength startling you out of the awestruck expression you bore whilst you were petting the ikran. He smirks knowingly at the sight of your surprised appearance before forming tsaheylu with the ikran and hopping up to sit behind you, silently instructing his steed to take flight.
You flew for a while, clinging to Lo'ak's arm as a form of security, the wind in your face and hair, making up for your breath being taken away by the view. Eventually, you felt cold and so Lo'ak had his ikran float back down, landing on the very top of a cliff's edge, overlooking a beautiful waterfall, spilling down to a small, bioluminescent lagoon located in the middle of the island. Lo'ak hops off the ikran first before helping you back down, hands back around your waist and this time, finding a more permanent home there. Sitting down on the edge of the cliff, legs dangling over the waterfall, Lo'ak keeps his arms wrapped around your form as the two of you talk about anything and everything, until you pause, tilting your head at him with your eyes observing his face when something had caught your eye.
He huffs a small laugh, likely nervous under such an intense gaze, "What is it?"
"I can't decide if your markings look like a tulkun or an ikran," you admit, one hand lifting up to trace the pattern of darker blue trailing down his forehead. You smile, mainly to yourself, "It is very fitting for you."
The praise definitely affected Lo'ak by the way his ears and tail twitched, a small laugh leaving your lips at the adorable sight. Lo'ak's eyes briefly widen then refocus, a fang slowly glinting in the moonlight as he forms a smirk. He ducks his head to hide away in the crook of your neck and you laugh knowing he was feeling a little flustered and embarrassed.
His voice drops into a whisper as if there was still someone around who could hear. A quiet conversation that not even Eywa could be a part of, "You'll be facing your tsurak trial tomorrow."
"Mm hm," you hummed, reaching your hand to cup the back of his neck, "You sound worried."
"Of course not, just nervous for you, since you're confident enough on your own."
"Are you gonna be there to watch me?"
"Of course."
"Promise?" You smirk while lifting the smallest finger on your hand, offering it to him. He snorts with amusement and lifts his own hand up to yours, holding out the extra finger on his hand, his pinky finger. What he once thought was an abomination of his form was something that fascinated you, so when he explained what a pinky promise was, you were delighted at the thought or idea of it. You insisted that the pinky promise should be yours and Lo'ak's thing here on Pandora where no one else understands it other than the few Sky People residing with the Omatikaya.
He linked his pinky with your smallest finger, pulling your hand until your knuckles brushed his lips, "Promise."
You positively beam before leaning your face closer to his, smiling mischievously, "Kiss for luck?"
Lo'ak laughs, a slight tease in his voice, "Those are quite the demands."
He doesn't even finish the sentence, however, as he leans down and captures your lips with his before your responding laugh can bubble out. It was a deep kiss-- as if Lo'ak was trying to leave a lasting imprint of himself with you or vice versa. You didn't complain, closing your eyes and softly gliding your lips against his. Being a Metkayina, you were not one to be short of breath, and Lo'ak was a fast learner and was much of the same.
Eventually, Lo'ak gently pulls away, his hands now resting on either side of your face and when he realizes this, he traces your glowing spots with his thumb as he smiles softly at you through his lashes, "Anything else, sweetheart?"
You made a point to obnoxiously think about it before giving in, shaking your head and snuggling further into the forest boy for warmth, "No. This is enough for me."
He plants another kiss on the top of your head before helping you settle more comfortably. You sit like that for a while, quietly listening to the sounds of nature all around you through one ear and his wild heartbeat with the other.
Lo'ak tilts his head up at the sky and gently squeezes your body, "When I finish my own trials, I wanna show you my home. You'll love the Omatikaya and you have to meet my grandmother. She would definitely take you under her wing and show you more about our culture."
You smiled while closing your eyes, your mind drifting off to what you imagined was the forest where your young lover grew up in, basing your imagination on all the stories he shared with you, "Is that another promise, Ma Lo'ak?"
"Absolutely. The most important one."
~~~~~~~~~
A/N: I saw a picture of Lo'ak and made a little "hm. his forehead stripes look like a tulkun" and when I looked it up, I discovered I wasn't the only one who realized this. Inspo post here!

ᴏɴᴇ ᴡᴇᴇᴋ ᴏꜰ ᴄᴜʀɪᴏꜱɪᴛʏ
Ronal,Tonowari,Ao’nung,and Tsireya x human!gn!reader
Summary: You, Max, and Norm were called by Jake to travel to Awa’atulu to check on Kiri’s health after experiencing a seizure. After Ronal healed Kiri, you were curious about the place and you decided to stay for a bit longer.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“Get out! You have done nothing!” Neytiri exclaimed. Max, Norm, and Jake quickly left the marui. Once you were about to follow Neytiri stopped you indicating she wants you to stay by her daughters side. She knows how you and Kiri are close together back in the forest. So she decided to keep you in as a surprised for her daughter.
You sat beside the entrance looking worried for Kiri’s health. The Tsahik isn’t satisfied that you are still on her sight, but nevertheless she started her chanting. As she released a blow, Kiri twitches and cries. Neytiri quickly grabbed her hands and pat her head cooing her with the sweetest words.
The Tsahik then left the marui to give them some their own time. You were intrigued by the chant that she did so you followed her. She tried to walk faster than you to lose your track, but you jogged your way to her.
“Hello, Mrs. Tsahik. I’m (y/n), nice to meet you.” She then stopped and turned around with an irritated look. She walked slowly to you and crouched to met her eyes. You were slightly surprised intimidated by her gaze, but also amazed by her features. This is the first time you saw a new type of Na’vi face-to-face.
“I have no interest talking to a demon.” She then continued to walk leaving you behind. You were sad that you couldn’t talk to her. Your mind is full of questions, wanting to know how they live, how they hunt food, what’s the equivalent of ikran to them. Though you kinda expected that they would react that way to a human like you, they never like humans anyways so why would the Tsahik give you a pass.
You walked back to the marui feeling down until you saw Kiri sitting down beside her mother, drinking some water. You were delighted to see your friend in a good condition. You walked up to her as her eyes widen with shock. She smiled at you, offered you to seat beside her and you did.
“So, how’s it going here?” She told all of the things happened. It was a struggle for them, but you’re happy that they are doing well here now. You hugged her tightly missing her warm large frame.
After awhile, Norm stated that you should all be going now. Kiri frowned at the thought of you leaving this early. You yourself then had a thought, you wanted to know more about this situation place, you’re still curious about things.
“No, I think I’ll stay here.” Norm was confused. He told you that you couldn’t stay longer here, specifically how the oxygen tank you have will only last for a week or two. You told him that you will then stay here for a week. Kiri is happy hearing these words from you. Though Norm is still worried.
“I promise, one week. Then you can pick me up after.” Norm just sighed and agrees. They both then left the island.
Tonowari
Tonowari isn’t exactly hostile to you like his wife. He agrees to let you in for a bit, it’s only a week anyways and you’re gone.
Lends you your own marui to put your things like laptop, test tubes, and other stuff.
Also let’s you take some samples of plants, letting him know some new type of plants you’ve seen and is intrigued.
Sometimes ask you for help to grab some fruits.
Teaches you how to fish, you told him that human usually use a fishing rod to do it which made him thinks humans are lazy—
You struggled to caught the fish, but eventually you did which earns a praise from Olo’eyktan
Ronal
Still hostile towards you
Ignores your every question about her being a Tsahik. Hisses at you to go away.
Her husband ordered you to be beside her every afternoon, so now she has an annoying chick following her.
Awkward silence is always present during afternoon. Carefully watching her every time she performed her chants to someone or make medicine.
“You forgot to put that on the leaf.” “…” “sorry.”
Few days of forced meetings, she started to open up to you
She starts to get curious about human health and explain it to her with your limited knowledge
You let her know about the new type of plants you’ve found and telling her the benefits using them for her medicine
She tried using them, which works and thankful for (but won’t admit it to you)
Starts to enjoy your company.
Ao’nung
Annoyed that his father let you in his island
“Great another freak” as he rolls his eye.
Have no choice, but to help you swim because his father demanded him to.
Grumpy every time you go on the surface for air
“It’s only been 15 seconds!” “I know I know! But I can’t hold it long!”
Good thing you have a diving kit just in case you needed to swim, Ao’nung isn’t flattered.
“Pfft! You look silly!” “Shut up! At least I won’t drown.”
Not gonna lie, he’s having fun when you’re around because of your playful personality
One time you made a sand castle and honestly he’s amaze, don’t know what a castle tho
Tsireya
Curious about you and the only nice one (and Tonowari) to you
She’s been told that humans are horrible, but as far as she seen you’ve been good at everyone (specially the sullys since your close to them)
Greeted you with a smile and also giggles to your height. “How a small person could be so threatening?” she thinks.
Every time you both spend time together you make jewelry for each other.
“Oh that looks pretty, Tsireya!” “Oh uhm thank you, hehe.”
Tie each others hair, use some pearls and shells to decorate it too
So far Tsireya is having fun with you
It’s your last day and you packed your whole stuff ready to go. Tsireya, Ao’nung, and the sully children inside your marui feeling down now that you’re leaving. You had a great time with them, but you have to go back to the forest.
Tuk ran to you holding you, “will you be back, (y/n)?” her teary eyes broke your heart, “sadly, I do think I will, Tuk.” These words made all of them frown. You tried to change the mood by saying, “at least we had a good time right?” But that time wasn’t enough for them. They wanted to spend more time with you, forever.
The kids help you settled your things near the shore where the helicopter just landed. Max and Norm is now ready to pick you up. Before you get on the helicopter, you heard your name being yelled by the Tsahik.
“(y/n)!” You turned around seeing the Tsahik and the Olo’eyktan beside here. She walked close to you giving you a bowl of fruit as a gift. The Olo’eyktan then walk beside his wife giving her the necklace that the Tsahik made and put it on you while smiling.
“(y/n), Oel ngati kameie.” Your eyes widen from those words. You just smiled at her and says, “oel ngati kameie, I see you too.”
You then get on the helicopter. It rises after you get on, you look down to them seeing them waving at you and saying goodbye, you also wave back to them. You’ll really miss them.

the almost huggers
i can't see him as the hugger typa guy. their awkward looking, one arm hold around your shoulder, might have looked like they doesn't give a fuck. but trust me, they care deeply. they're just isn't great at expressing feelings through touches
they'll make you overthink cause they would disappear after the hug. you would think that the hug made them uncomfortable, that they distances themselves. but your thoughts dies away at the sight of a hand woven bracelet greeting you by your marui
they care for you, just not that great with hugs. and for lo'ak, its probably because he isn't used to give nor rechieve them :"
ao'nung, lo'ak
the passionate huggers
oh to be hugged by them
being ao'nungs other side of the coin means they hug people on a daily basis. meeting you? a hug. saying goodbye by the end of the day? a hug. even a good morning/night hug is mandatory to them. absolute sweethearts. you could just imagine the moment you come to them after a long day,
the two of you are usually just excited to meet one another to share a quick friendly hug. but when they notice your usual happy smile is not seen, a frown was made on their faces. they won't spare any second to wrap their arm around you and bring you to a tight hug. your face would be on their shoulder, their cheek resting on your head as soft spoken reassurances being whispered to your ear,
"hey don't worry. i'm here. you're okay"
if you start to cry, they would hold you through it. soothing fingers combing to through your hair with an arm embracing you as your cries calmed down
tsireya, rotxo
the protective huggers
their hugs aren't as long nor as quick as the others, but the warm embraces they offer never failed to make you feel protected. their arms embracing your entire body, wrapping by your back to give you a big, warm hug. you could feel their entire emotion rushing through by the simple act, despite them being silent through the entire time,
when you're with me nothing could hurt you. don't worry
when your cries had calmed down, they would break away from the hug to wipe your tears with their fingers and asked you to wait. they went running and back to you under a minute, bringing everything they know would make you feel better,
kiri would keep you by her side as she makes you a calming herbal tea, as you both talk about whatever's in your mind. oh, you don't want to talk about it? don't worry. she won't even mention a thing until you bring it out yourself
while neteyam, he's back to you with soft blankets and a drink, maybe even food if you ask for some. then both of you would lay down by the floor of the forest and name stars you see at the night sky
neteyam, kiri

The air hung heavily as eclipse had set, you were carrying the echoing words of your mother and father as Lo'ak had bonded with the outcast tulkun, Payakan.
You had wanted to talk to him, but you couldn't find him. So you were now wandering aimlessly around the shore, near the forest.
You didn’t know why, but you had taken a liking to the forest boy, but it seemed like your sister, Tsireya, had too.
The moment rustling was heard from the forest, you perk your head up and the sight almost sent your heart to stop.
You saw your sister and Lo'ak emerging from the forest, Tsireya saying something before leaving Lo'ak alone.
The smile that you watched set on Lo'ak's face had your stomach dropping, your mind screaming at you to run, hide, go away before he could see you. However, you were planted right on the spot watching him until he felt it.
He looks up and quickly spots you. You gulp. You didn't want to hear what he wanted to say as he was quickly approaching you, you feared that he'd finally tell you how Tsireya had won his heart over or- anything.
You took a couple of steps back but it was too late as he was already there, waving at you and opening his mouth. "Hey!"
Having no control over your words, you had sounded meaner than you had intended to.
"I don't want to do this now, Lo'ak."
His expression puzzled before gesturing "Do what..?"
You shake your head, letting out a fake smile, pushing things through to finally get over it.
"Congrats, Lo'ak."
His face became even more confused as his mouth gapes open. "Congrats...on what? I didn't even do anything." He chuckles sheepishly, tilting his head at you.
Oh, forget it
"Stop, don't speak, I already know you've been interested in my sister for the longest time." You flatly said, hoping the more you push him away, your feelings for him would drain out of your system.
Lo'ak's face drops, walking a little closer to you but you stepped back." What are you talking about? I don't—"
You scoff, "Sure go ahead and make excuses, I already know, Lo'ak. Just- leave me alone."
"(Y/N) hold on, wait." Lo'ak said, reaching out for you and making you face him.
"Wha- where did you hear this? Where is this coming from?" Lo'ak asked you urgently.
The close space between the two of you with his hand on your wrist was making things difficult.
You hated the way your gaze stared down his lips before shaking your head.
"Why does it matter? So you could rub it in my face on how you'd finally get to be with my sister? Yeah, great." You spoke, tearing his grip away.
Lo'ak's brows knitted together, shaking his head "No, you've got it all wrong!"
"Pretty sure I've got everything right." You spat, turning away and finally walking away, back faced towards him.
"I don't want Tsireya, I want you." Lo'ak voiced loudly, enough for you to hear and almost everyone within an earshot distance from the two of you.
You stop, his words sending chills as your ears twitched.
Hearing the shuffling of sand behind you, you had suspected Lo'ak had closed the distance between the two of you again.
"You heard me. I don't care where you heard that from- it's not true. Okay, I don't- you saw me earlier, right? I'll tell you what happened."
You still had your back faced towards him, breathing heavily at the new information crashed over you like a strong wave.
"Tsireya was actually telling me to make a move already. I said its too early- but maybe this is finally a sign." He spoke lowly, hoping his words were enough for the explanation.
"Apart from that she only wanted to defend me because she believes we should give Payakan a chance," He sighs. "Then she mentioned you."
Tsireya, you—
"Turns out everyone knows... they know that I like you, except for... you." Lo'ak chuckles at the end.
Turning, you eventually faced him and he looks straight into your eyes, a sign he was telling the truth.
"Tsireya had been encouraging me to tell you already... Here it is, I guess... I planned on a more grand gesture but-" He laughs sheepishly. "I like you, (Y/N)."
You gulp, well this day definitely had its twist.
"Lo'ak..." You spoke, mind blanking as you searched for the words to say to the boy in front of you.
He pursed his lips, looking at you as his tail swayed lowly behind him and his ears lightly dropping.
"You- you're really something." You said, smile slowly making its way to your face. Lo'ak's tail slowly curled, eyes widening at your reaction.
"Y-yeah?" He replies unsurely.
You didn't know what else to say, so you did what you figured was best to tell him how you felt. You pulled him into a hug, arms going around his neck, giving him a light squeeze.
Lo'ak blinks at the sudden affection as his heart felt like it was about to beat out his ribcage. Your arms wrapping around him, the scent of you filling his senses.
It takes him a second to respond before his arms were now snaking around your waist. The feeling so foreign to him, having a person he liked hugging him.
He lifts his hand to place on the back of your head, letting the side of your head rest on his chest as he cradled you. He could get used to this.
But first, it was time to plan on courting you.

“You’ve struck me down and thrown away my heart, and you dare laugh?” Neteyam grasped at his chest, mimicking heartbreak. You laughed harder at his amusing behaviour. He kept finding ways to cheer you up, and you were grateful to him for it.
The day after Ao’nung’s outburst, you came to Neteyam for comfort. You were both sitting on a tiny sandy island just a little ways from Awa’atlu, cracking jokes and teaching each other stuff.
He had taught you some more english lingo, and you taught him how to swim faster. Not too fast though, you worried that if you taught him too well he’d be faster than you.
You never told him about what Ao’nung had said the other night, you just wanted him to make you feel like everything was going to be okay again. You had gotten used to his presence and the way he made a deep buzzing sound in your heart.
“Okay okay, what’s a playboy again?” you tried to comprehend the language, but there were just so many rules and confusing terms. “A playboy is a guy who can get a lot of people pining for him, you know, like me,” he smiled smugly.
You laughed, slapping his elbow at his amazingly stupid words.“Yeah, right! The only person you talk to aside from your family is me! And I don’t like you in that way,” you retorted, stifling the rest of your laugh.
“Really?” he frowned, before leaning in closer to you, eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips. “Wanna test that theory?” he smiled.
This was the second time Neteyam had been this close, the distance between you two threatening to close ever so suddenly like a door in a room with an open window. You wanted to kiss him, but it just felt too soon.
You placed a hand gently on his chest, about to push him away, but before you could the sounds of an ilu splashing out of the water caught both your attention. Ao’nung leered at you two with immeasurable anger behind his eyes, something that Neteyam hadn’t been able to catch.
“Hey fish lips, give us some space, yeah?” Neteyam called out to him with a grin on his face. With that you quickly pushed Neteyam away, getting up on your feet. “Ao’nung,” you put your two hands out as if to defend yourself, “this isn’t what it looks like.”
Neteyam looked confused at your statement. He was still sitting down, looking at how Ao’nung practically leapt off the ilu, taking heavy steps towards you with a scowl on his face. “Really?” your brother spat. “Your excuses are getting lamer and lamer as the days go by, Y/N.”
Your ears flattened, clenching your jaw. “Ao’nung, let’s go talk somewhere else.” you avoided Neteyam’s gaze, continuing to look at your younger twin.
“No. We can talk right here, in front of him.” Ao’nung pointed at the still bewildered omaticayan who was getting up, his finger trembling with fury.
“Fine!” you snapped. “I still don’t get why you’re so hung up about me and Tsireya liking people. It’s not that serious!”
“It’s not about you liking people.” he snarled. “It’s about you liking them. They aren’t one of us!”
“Why the hell does that matter!” you shouted back. Your brother’s eyes widened when the foreign word spilled out of your mouth, before his expression turned hard.
“He’s brainwashing you.” he whispered to himself, as if he had come to a mind blowing realisation.
“Y/N, he’s one of those demons, we can’t trust them!” as he got closer to you, you backed away before Neteyam stopped him by the shoulder. “Don’t get any closer,” he warned, his voice low.
“Get off me, demon.” Ao’nung spat, grabbing Neteyam’s arm and throwing it off his own shoulder, seemingly appalled at the touch.
“I’ve already gotten rid of your brother, don’t make me do the same to you–” he stopped mid sentence, as if caught off guard. His body froze, lips still parted.
A short moment of silence followed that was almost unbearable.
“What did you say?” Neteyam spoke up, eyes turned to slits. Ao’nung couldn’t answer him, his frightened eyes fixed on you. You inhaled deeply, suppressing the anger that boiled under your skin. If your little brother had meant what he just said, he was in for it now.
“Ao’nung,” you seethed, your voice low.
“What did you do?”
(this would be a VERY appropriate time to play slipping through my fingers by ABBA)
You watched silently as Neteyam dragged your brother by the kuru, bringing him to his father. “Tell him what you told me,” he practically growled, tugging on Ao’nung’s kuru. Your brother fell silent for a bit, before confessing what he’d done.
He’d told the father of the boy he’d just doomed that he tricked his son into going out of the reef, leaving him to fend for himself for a ‘joke.’
The sky felt like it was crumbling as you sat there, legs dangling at the edge of your marui, watching people leave and return on their ilus in a desperate search for Neteyam’s brother. You were to stay back and assist any affairs unrelated to his disappearance, an order met by your protests at first.
You felt a shift in the atmosphere, the feeling of someone’s tenseness radiating through the air. “Ao’nung.” you called out, and you imagined him stiffening. “Come,” you patted the spot next to you. “Sit.”
Reluctantly, he dragged his heavy body towards you, sitting down without a word. He had expected you to start scolding him, to start screaming at him for his stupidity, but instead,
you snaked your arm around his shoulder, pulling him towards you.
“I don’t know what reason you had for doing what you did, but I just want you to know,” he sucked in a breath, awaiting his damnation.
“You’re going to be alright,” you smiled softly, nudging his head to rest on your shoulder.
Huh?
“You don’t have to say anything. Just know that when the time comes, I’ll be here for you.”
He was utterly baffled.
What were you doing?
Trying to guilt him into apologising?
Because you didn’t need to do that, he already would have to pay for his stupid crime for the rest of his life. He wanted to lift his head up, to reject your reassurance,
but he just couldn’t.
Instead, a single tear flowed down his cheek, landing softly on your skin.
With your hand placed softly on his shoulder, you rest your head upon his, gently rubbing soothing circles into his tense muscles.
“Y/N! The meanies kept on picking me today!” a tiny Ao’nung cried to you, his tears soaking your shoulder as he cried on it.
“Shh, baby bro. It’s going to be alright,” a little you hugged him tightly, leading him to sit where you both were sitting right now.
The silence was filled with his sniffles, both past and present.
“You’re going to be alright.” both little you and present you whispered, shutting your eyes tightly and squeezing his shoulder.
The memory of the promise you made to him rushed back to you, as clear as if it had happened yesterday. Despite being twins, he was much smaller than you at the time, which made him an easy target for others to tease.
Although the teasing was meant to be lighthearted, he struggled to find the humour in it, which was kind of ironic now.
“Nung,” the small you said, a serious look in your eyes.
You smiled to yourself, remembering your slurred words. You were only 5 years old at the time, your sentences barely coherent to adults. But being twins, you could understand each other perfectly.
“I will protect you, always.”
“No matter what?”
“No matter what.
nothing can ever,
ever,
take me away from you,
I. promise.”
Tears well up in your eyes as you realised, you had already broken that promise many times over.
Each time you retreated to your private little sanctuary, avoiding your problems, you were also avoiding him.
Perhaps, just perhaps, it was not escaping from your duties that made you guilty, but it was escaping from your brother.
You recollected a memory of returning home from a little escapade, having spent the time climbing trees. This was when you were 7, before you’d even found the cave.
As you arrived back home, you saw your mother attending to Ao'nung, who had a deep cut on his arm, crying loudly. A tiny Tsireya was there too, offering comfort by holding his hand. Apparently, it happened while he was in the water alone. “He said he wasn’t watching where he was going, and knocked into a rock,” your mother explained.
But the fear and confusion in his eyes as he looked up at you told you otherwise.
You never got to find out what truly happened, because you never really cared to ask. You were too obsessed with finding your own free time.
Unbeknownst to you, a dark silhouette creeped by the entrance of your marui. It leered at you comforting your little brother, ears flicking with contempt as it heard your small reassurances.
It's not your fault,
I’m so sorry,
Everything will be fine.
And as soon as the shadow appeared, it was gone.
Lo’ak came back past eclipse with one of your own people who’d found him just within the reef, you were able to hear the relieved sighs of your parents and his own as he approached the island.
You stood behind your father, his hand firmly on the back of Ao’nung’s neck. Lo’ak had a look of pure anger on his face when he looked at your brother, like he wanted to punt him in the face, only to be stopped by his father as he stomped up onto the woven deck.
Jake Sully inspected his son, checking his back for any bruises. “He’s fine, just a few scratches.” he said loudly, so that the crowd of metkayina would disperse quickly.
Neytiri hurried from behind the crowd, quickly checking to see that her son was alright. When she confirmed she wasn’t hurt, she quickly scolded him.
“I pray for the strength that I will not rip the eyeballs out of my youngest son!” she hissed, making a grabbing motion at Lo’ak’s eye, to which Tsireya next to you winced.
“No,” your father said, pushing Ao’nung down to kneel. “My son knows better than to take him outside of the reef. The blame is his.”
Jake nodded hesitantly, deciding he didn’t want to cause any more trouble with the Olo’eyktan. “Okay, let’s go.”
“No.”
“It’s not Ao’nung’s fault,” Lo’ak shook his head, looking up at your father. Ao’nung’s head turned up at this, both you and him (and your mother) were bewildered at this.
“It was my idea. Ao’nung tried to talk me out of it, really.”
Neteyam put a hand on Lo’ak’s arm, silently asking him with his eyes, What are you doing? He only gave his older brother a glance of the eye to respond.
Your mother and father exchanged looks. They always did this, communicating without even needing to speak to each other. Lo’ak was covering for their son, they knew it. But why, was the question.
Your father pulled up Ao’nung, turning to him. “Is this true?” he asked, disbelief laced between his words.
Although you admired your parents for their ability to see through such lies, you were also disappointed they didn’t believe their own son could be responsible for one moment. Your eyes darted towards Neteyam who was walking away with his family, and you quickly excused yourself.
As you approached, however, you heard his parents scolding him. “Where were you?” Neytiri asked. “Yeah, what happened to keep an eye on your brother?” Jake said in english, it seemed he noticed you were coming towards them, but he didn’t know you could understand their conversation.
You gulped, knowing that Neteyam was with you when Lo’ak was led outside the reef. “Sorry sir.” Neteyam muttered. You couldn’t see his face, but you could tell from his tone of voice that he was not happy.
Jake and Neytiri left him, Jake nodding to you before he left as some form of greeting. “Neteyam, how are you feeling?” you asked him softly.
He sighed, turning towards you. There was a glint of something you’d never seen before in his eyes, and you couldn’t quite figure out what it was. But as he narrowed them, it became clear.
He was glaring at you with utter distaste.
“I don’t feel like talking to you right now.” he said, his tone indicating that his anger was threatening to reach boiling, and you were the cause.
Your heart dropped all the way to your stomach as he stalked away, leaving you wondering.
What did I do?
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | masterlist
Idk what to say except oh no angst 😨 this part is definitely shorter than the others and idk why, it just seemed that this was enough words to convey the message. i THINK that the next part is the finale, but we’ll just have to see. Also if you’ve been reading this series from the start, you’ll notice that all the chapters have undergone a design transformation cause I just thought it looked better <3

It was a day like any other. You were walking trough the jungle, stumbling over brachnes and stones. You and your family have been here since a few months now, adapting pretty good to the reef.
You still got mean comments from some of the Metkayina people, especially Ao'nung and his little friend group, though it got better with the time. There was also Rotxo, a boy your age, who was the best friend of Ao'nung.
He was never mean to you, always looking out for you and making conversation when you were alone. It was nice, since there weren't many people who talked to you, except your family and Tsireya.
"Come closer, look!" You stepped near Rotxo, trying to be careful, as to not wake the sleeping creature that laid in the sun, sleeping soundly.
This morning, you were greeted by an energic Rotxo, who said something of the lines of "there's something in need to show you", "it's very important", "you will love it"
You didn't thought much of it, since the boy never did anything to harm you and you trusted him the most from the people in this clan.
"What is this?" The boy next to you gave you a grin, then turned around to the animal. "I don't know, we've never seen it before," he said, grabbing your hand to pull the both of you a little closer. "It's been here for a while now. We're still trying to figure out where it's from." You shrugged your shoulders, watching as the creature moved in his sleep. Probably dreamt of something.
"We should go back now, the sun is setting." Rotxo nodded and you both stepped back and followed the way to the village. The walk was quiet, none of you talked. It was always comfortable with him, even if you rarely talked.
"Woah, careful there!" Before you could kiss the ground, Rotxo held you by the waist to prevent your fall. Damn, always these stupid stones on the way.
Realizing the position you were in, you immediately stood up straight and waved his hands from your body. You felt blood rush to your cheeks out of embarrassment. Rotxo coughed a little bit, hiding his face behind his arm.
"Sorry, I wasn't caref-", "NO! No, it was my fault..." he did it again. Always blaming himself to save you from discomfort. You found it weird, he always did that. But just with you, never with any of your siblings.
"Um, now that I think about... there's actually something I need to tell you.."
You always hated it when someone said this. It was mostly always bad, so you prepared yourself for bad news.
"Go on." Rotxo cleared his throat, before he took your hands in his. The gesture made your heart stop a beat, but you tried not to show how nervous you were.
"So... I wanted to tell you this for a while now," listening carefully, you mindlessly began to play with his fingers.
"Uhh, I like you. Like, like like you! I know, it sounds weird but-" "I like you too." You interrupted the boy, who glanced up at you in surprise.
"Wait, really?!" You nodded and pulled him closer, to kiss him on the cheek. When you made some distance between you, you could see the big smile that spread on his face.
"W-wow, I've never met someone like you before, you know. You're very special to me." Rotxo confessed.
It made your heart flutter.
